May 18, 2023

NAPE has completed implementation of a project on conflict prevention in Rwamutonga Internally Displaced People’s Camp (IDPC), Kigyayo IDPC and Kyangwali Refugee settlement all in Kikuube District.

The two-year project (2021-2023) was implemented in line with the United Nations Security Council Resolution 1325 on Women, Peace and Security which seeks to address the importance of women’s full participation in conflict resolution, peacebuilding, peacekeeping, humanitarian response and post-conflict reconstruction.

It also brings forth project interventions, achievements, challenges and opportunities during the two-year period. The project was funded by the Women Peace Humanitarian Fund with technical support from UN WOMEN Uganda.
